While the idea of doing EMS training at home may seem appealing, it comes with certain drawbacks compared to training in a studio

Having an EMS fitness studio at home might initially sound like a great idea for many. After all, you can train whenever you have time without leaving your house. However, the reality is that EMS training at home has several disadvantages compared to EMS training in our studios. In our studios, you have the benefit of a dedicated personal trainer who supports and motivates you during your sessions, ensuring that you perform all exercises correctly and, most importantly, safely.

One of the key advantages of having your own personal trainer is the individualized attention and guidance they provide

Your personal trainer is trained for EMS workouts and stays updated on the latest techniques. Instead of simply letting you start training, they conduct a needs analysis before your first session. This involves discussing contraindications and creating an individualized training plan based on your desired fitness goals. Additionally, an InBody body analysis is performed, measuring aspects such as your body fat percentage and muscle mass. This measurement is regularly repeated, allowing us to track and visualize your progress – a feature not available with home-based EMS training.

During your sessions, your personal trainer ensures that you perform exercises correctly. Correct form is crucial, as improper execution could potentially lead to issues such as posture problems if corrections are not made. Another advantage of having a personal trainer in a studio setting is the immediate availability of assistance in case of emergencies, a benefit not present when training at home.

When opting for EMS training at home, it’s essential to have the right equipment

Often, the EMS devices used for home-based EMS training may not match the quality of our studio equipment. Our EMS device from Miha Bodytec is a certified medical product, ensuring safety and efficacy. Additionally, incorrect application at home could pose risks. Adjusting impulse intensity is one responsibility you take on at home, while in our studios, Personal Trainers handle this aspect. They are specially trained to check all EMS equipment and ensure proper usage. Moreover, our training and all terra sports studios are DIN-certified.

Having the training device at home may tempt individuals to train more frequently, aiming for quicker results. However, with our high-intensity full-body training, 20 minutes per week is sufficient for building muscles faster. Excessive home-based EMS training could strain muscles too much, hindering proper recovery.
